On Friday, I had a good time with Helen Yuan (of GF) and some of her friends at Bus Boys and Poets for Happy Hour. The encounter brought me face-to-face with Nita, whom I had met at the beginning of my time in DC at the Kennedy Center to watch the Def Poetry artist on the Millennial Stage. After wards, I went to a show entitled P.S. Your Cat is Dead which was written by the same people who wrote A Chorus Line.
On Saturday, Chanda DeLong interviewed me at Le Pain Quotidien apparently for a white paper and some quotes for the Grameen Bankers without Borders website. I hope that she was able to capture whatever she was looking for. After wards, I hung out for a big at Dupont Circle.
It was incredibly peaceful and brought great joy to my heart. To get to my next destination, I had to travel to via the metro. I laughed when I got to metro center and looked at the rails. The third rail is a power rail. And right above it in the photo are a pair of flip flops, nicely arranged.
I had not visited the Museum of the American Indian, so I visited there. People are correct. The food at that museum really IS the best museum food around! The museum was built using the beliefs of the native peoples of the americas. Thus, it includes the land, the animals, beliefs, and peoples throughout the interior and exterior of the building.

Later that evening, I went out with Sharlene and Preeti to Faaatback at Liv. The place does some interesting mash-ups. Plus, we were able to get some fantastic hats... mine of course, I wore for the rest of the evening! Around midnight, we decided to hit up a new club. We went over to Steve's Bar in Dupont Circle. It's a small club with no cover. I wouldn't recommend it for people scouting to hook up. But, it is great for the music and the dancing.
Today, was mostly a relaxing day. I enjoyed my last chance to eat at Crepes-A-Go, read a bit at the park, and took a nap. Ah, it was great to finally be able to get some rest. After several weeks of seriously being on the go, every single day and night, I finally just let myself go.
Like I said, I'm going to be sad to leave DC. But this has been an amazing experience, and I've really noticed myself grow as a result. I will be sad to be leaving so many new good friends.
