MAGIC

We're born into families who teach us about the good and bad of humanity.
We learn ways to interact when people are nice,
We learn how to cope when there is strife.
Some families teach us how to love,
Other families focus on the Man above.
Sometimes we hear about families who demonstrate unconditional love,
But inevitably even in those families there is a fallen dove.

When we mature into adults, a magical transformation begins.
We begin to feel the effects of our own sins.
Yet, we learn how to live in our own skins.
Some of us chose to expand ourselves beyond the comfort zones we're in.

The fortunate ones can experience the wonderment of Disney with the innocent joy of a child,
Some of us are blessed to learn about magic through a child.
Others are thrown a curveball and strike out from one game.
Only to realize the game had been rigged by someone insane.

Nonetheless, magical spells envelop our spirits,
Lift us up and show us our merits.
The spells can scare us,
And make us question what's behind the veil.

But when we remember, even the magic of Disney,
Is created with hard work and dedication.
That those smiling faces, and because of the people who make them.
We can be blessed to open our hearts to yet another spell,
Because the love of family and friends, begin where our hearts dwell.
