Living in Cali-for-nye-a,
We get spoiled in living lives our way.
With the beautiful weather, and shining sun,
It's hard to go back to where we're from.
So Cal folks are described as weak,
At 65 degrees, we're looking for heat.
We ride around in our cars,
Spend our Fridays in bars,
And believe no place in the world can compete.
So it can be hard to take in,
It makes it harder to accept others sorrows within,
When all you really want to do is party and sin.
But by being blessed out west,
Its our responsibility to do our best.
To be there when a friend calls,
Catch 'em if they fall.
My hope is that with your family by your side,
The tragedy that rocked your community can subside.
Just a bit as you spread your light,
Reducing their sorrow with your love's might.
With tears you can share their sorrow as you sympathize,
With words & hugs when you don't understand you can empathize.
Even though the hurt of the loss won't go away overnight.
