Vacation Booked...

When I came into work this morning, I mentioned to boss #1 that I would like to take vacation in September for a week or so. Jokingly, he responds, "well, I'm not sure we can accommodate that." I responded while laughing, "Well, I've already checked and no one else is off during that time, I'm sure ya'll can make it work." Later that afternoon, boss #2 says, "Oh, I will approve your vacation in case you were still waiting." I smiled and said, "thank you." He commented, "I thought about sending an email that said, 'well, you can have a vacation when you start doing some work around here!'" I looked at him with a lifted eyebrow and said, "Well, if you said something like that to me, then I could imagine I would be **cough** sick for the rest of the week."

Excited for the rest of the day, I could barely contain myself with fantasies of relaxing poolside with a book. Raining? Who cares, I'm going to go take a nap. It's hot? Fiiinnnne, I'll go relax poolside (see below).

Too many people talking around me, ok ... I'll just go get a drink and sit by the ocean. Yup, all I could think about all day was how excited I was too book the vacation. I booked on expedia, they seemed to have the lowest vacation price, plus I have a coupon. Although after already having been on the phone with two customer service representatives, I should have just let the $50 go. But now, it's just the principalities (improper word, yes) that makes me want to see this through to the end. I swear, I sure can be stubborn sometimes!

Along with the flight and hotel, I also chose to book one of the things I am looking forward to:  a trip to a place called 'Jasmine Spa and Wellness'. One hour massage, some hooty-tooty foo-foo pampering and all that jazz. Oh yea, rub me down!

Next up will be lots of reading, and studying so I can prepare for my 09/21-09/29 trip to the DR. Who-hoo!
